Lithuanian fashion designer Robert Kalinkin took a new challenge: created an athleisure collection in collaboration with sportswear brand "Audimas"
Active lifestyle has become more and more important part of our daily basis. Inspired by these changes Lithuanian fashion designer Robert Kalinkin and one of the largest sports & leisure apparel manufacturers in Eastern Europe "Audimas" presents collaboration – limited edition athleisure collection "Robert Kalinkin x Audimas". Collection is available in stores from 20th of September.
Melting glaciers, lava spills, lemongrass fields- this is nature in its primal form, the epitome of savage beauty, self-confidence and danger. Robert Kalinkin transformed this vision into the active lifestyle collection, based on practicality, sensuality and subtleness of nature. It‘s like the second skin aimed to your ultimate comfort with nature as one.
"It's casual wear for person, who lives active life in the city. In addition to ordinary materials – cotton and viscose – we introduced tencel – the fabric super kindly to the body. We wanted to create clothes that are persistent, resilient and long lasting, allowing the skin to breathe. The kind of clothes that you would like to wear on a daily basis. Both me and my wife were testing the collection around half a year to ensure proof for purpose" - says R. Kalinkinas.
The collection will perfectly fit for riding a bicycle in the city, weekend trips, walks or easy sports. The clothes are decorated by prints with plants, ground or melting ice. Natural colors like black, grey, burgundy and dark green are dominating in dresses, t-shirts, leggings, hats, pants, jumpers and jackets.
Robert Kalinkin used many natural inspired motives, but You can see the industrial background in the collection promo photos. According to the designer the contrast is dictated by the environment in which we live: "Concrete, glass, stone – everything that we see around the city. Nature is what we'd like to get closer. We seek synthesis of these items."
Fashion designers and sports’ brands colaborations are popular for several years worldwide. Successful collaborations were introduced by such world-famous names like "Puma" with Mihara Yasuhiro, Alexander McQueen, like "Adidas" with Stella McCartney, Jeremy Scott, Rick Owens, Mary Katrantzou, like "Nike" with Riccardo Tisco, Pedro Lourenço and etc.
"Audimas" has already presented the collaborations with well-known Lithuanian designers Juozas Statkevicius, Sandra Straukaite, Kristina Kalinauskaite so far.
